The quote that goes out today is the one that wins.
You did the site visit on Monday. If the quote lands Thursday, somebody else got there first. Signal prices it from your own rates, sends it as a link they can open on a phone, and tells you when they have read it.

The problem
The work is won and lost in the office.
The job is not the hard part. Quoting it and chasing it is.
Where jobs go
Quotes take three days
Because they are typed up at night from a photo of a notebook, using last job’s document, with the risk that last job’s prices come along for the ride.
Nobody chases the ones that went quiet
A quote sent and never followed up is the most expensive thing in the business, because the work was already scoped and priced.
Repeat customers are forgotten
You did a good job for them two years ago and nobody has rung since, so when the plant fails they ring whoever put a fridge magnet on it.
How it works
From the site visit to the signature.
The job
Book the site visit without four phone calls
Send a booking link and let them pick a time that suits. A thirty minute site assessment is its own event type, with your real availability behind it, and the meeting lands on the deal with the address and the notes attached.
- Your own event types, with your working hours behind them
- Reminders the day before and two hours before, which is what cuts no-shows
- The booking creates the job record, so nothing is retyped

Quote from the ute, at the right price
Labour, materials and plant come from your own catalogue, so the figure is current and the same whoever wins the job. Build the proposal from the deal and send it as a link before you have driven back.
- One price list, so a rate rise reaches every quote the day you make it
- Services and equipment in the same catalogue, told apart by category
- Sent as a link, which opens on a phone and cannot bounce for size

And chase the ones sitting there
You can see which quotes have been opened and which have not, and the follow-up sits in the day list rather than in your head. The quotes you already wrote are the cheapest work you will ever win.
- Engagement per proposal, so the call is timed rather than guessed
- Overdue follow-up in front of you, not buried in a filter
- Maintenance and service agreements on the account, ready for the renewal

Trade questions, answered.
Is this a job management system?
No. Signal is the sales side: finding the work, quoting it, chasing it and knowing what is going to land. Scheduling crews, timesheets and invoicing stay in the system you already use for those.
Can I quote from my phone on site?
Yes. The proposal is built from the deal with line items from your own catalogue, and it sends as a link the customer can open on a phone. No attachment and no downloading. More on proposals and quotes.
Will everyone quote the same price?
Yes, if the price is in the catalogue. That is the point of having one. Change a rate once and every new quote uses it, while quotes already sent keep the figure they were sent at.
Does it work if only one or two of us sell?
Yes, and every plan includes unlimited users, so the office, the estimator and the person who answers the phone can all be in it without adding to the bill. See pricing.
What about service agreements and renewals?
They sit on the account with the rest of the history, and the follow-up list is where the renewal call turns up. Activity coverage tells you what share of your customer base nobody has rung this quarter. More on accounts.
We are not a sales team. Is this too much?
Most of it is quoting and follow-up, which you already do. The rest is there when you want it. Nothing here assumes a sales floor or a person whose job is the software.
