How We Use AI
Empiraa's AI assistant, ANI, is built into both Empiraa GPS (strategy execution) and Empiraa Signal (sales system). ANI is designed to help your team work more effectively by automating routine tasks, surfacing insights from your data, and guiding daily execution.
ANI can help with tasks such as:
- Drafting strategy updates, reports, and executive summaries
- Flagging risks, stalled pipeline deals, and overdue actions
- Enriching prospect data and suggesting follow-up actions
- Generating daily briefings and planning your team's priorities
- Answering questions about your strategy, KPIs, and pipeline
Underlying technology
ANI is powered by large language models (LLMs) running on Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform. Vertex AI provides the secure, enterprise-grade infrastructure that processes your natural language requests and generates responses.
Your Data Stays Yours
When you use ANI, your data is sent to Google Cloud's Vertex AI infrastructure to generate a response. We want to be completely clear about what happens to that data:
Not shared back to Google
Your data is processed by Vertex AI to generate a response and is not retained, shared, or made accessible to Google or any third party beyond that processing.
Never used to train AI models
Your data is not used to train, fine-tune, or improve Google's AI models or any other AI models. What you put into Empiraa stays in Empiraa.
Localised to your workspace
All data processed by ANI is scoped to your organisation's workspace. No data from your account is combined with or accessible to any other Empiraa customer.
Used only for your benefit
The sole purpose of sending data to Vertex AI is to generate a response that is returned to you. There is no secondary use of your data.
Data Safety & Security
We take the security of your data seriously. The following measures are in place to protect your information throughout the Empiraa platform and whenever AI features are used.
Encryption in transit
All data transmitted between your browser, Empiraa's servers, and Google Cloud Vertex AI is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
Encryption at rest
Your stored data — including strategy plans, pipeline records, and account information — is encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256 encryption.
Strict access controls
Access to your workspace data is controlled by role-based permissions. Only authenticated users within your organisation can access your data.
No cross-customer exposure
Your data is logically isolated from all other Empiraa customers. No AI query from your workspace can access or surface another customer's data.
Data residency
Empiraa uses Google Cloud infrastructure with data processing in regions consistent with applicable data protection requirements. Contact us to confirm specific regional settings.
Audit and monitoring
Empiraa monitors platform activity for unusual access patterns and maintains internal audit logs to support security investigation and compliance.
What the AI Can and Cannot Do
ANI is a productivity assistant. It helps your team act faster and with more context, but it does not act autonomously or make decisions on your behalf.
ANI can
- Draft content for your review and approval
- Surface insights and flag risks from your data
- Suggest next steps based on your pipeline or strategy
- Generate summaries and briefings inside the platform
- Respond to questions about your workspace data
ANI cannot
- Take autonomous action outside the platform
- Send emails or messages without your instruction
- Access data outside your workspace
- Make financial or legal decisions on your behalf
- Modify your account settings or billing without approval
All AI-generated output is presented for your review. Decisions remain with you and your team.
Third-Party AI Infrastructure
Empiraa partners with Google Cloud as its AI infrastructure provider. The Vertex AI platform provides enterprise-grade, SOC 2 compliant infrastructure for processing natural language requests.
Google Cloud's own commitments relevant to your data include:
- Customer data submitted to Vertex AI is not used to train Google's foundation models by default
- Google Cloud operates under globally recognised compliance frameworks including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR
- Data processing is governed by Google Cloud's Data Processing Addendum
