Empiraa

For Australian businesses

An Australian CRM, priced in dollars that stay put.

Empiraa is an Australian company based in Melbourne. Empiraa Signal is $99 a month for the whole workspace with unlimited users, GST included, and it is the same number in Australian dollars, US dollars and euros. It covers the CRM, the prospect database, enrichment, sequences, a booking link and proposals, so the five tools a growing Australian sales team usually buys separately, mostly from overseas vendors, are on the same invoice as the CRM.

The problem

Most CRM pricing is written for somebody else.

None of this makes an overseas CRM a bad product. It does make the bill harder to predict.

What Australian teams run into

The price is in US dollars, and it moves

A US$100 per seat CRM is a different number every quarter depending on the exchange rate, and often a different number again once the card issuer adds a foreign transaction fee. Budgeting a fixed line item against a floating currency is a nuisance nobody asked for.

GST treatment is left ambiguous

Some overseas vendors add GST at checkout, some do not, and some say both on different pages of the same site. It is a small amount of money and a disproportionate amount of back and forth with your accountant.

The compliance advice is American

Most cold email guidance online assumes CAN-SPAM, which permits unsolicited commercial email and requires you to honour opt-outs afterwards. Australia runs the opposite way: the Spam Act 2003 requires consent before you send. Following the wrong one is how a reasonable outbound programme ends up outside the Act.

What is different here

Specific things, not a flag.

The Australian case

The price is the same number everywhere

The same number in every currency. $99 is $99 AUD, $99 USD, $99 EUR and $99 GBP. Australian prices include GST. A falling dollar does not reprice your subscription, and there is no foreign transaction fee on the card.

Every plan includes unlimited users, so the figure does not move when you hire either. Launch is $99 a month, Drive is $249 and Command is $549, each for the whole workspace.

Australian rules, answered properly

Cold outbound in Australia runs on the Spam Act 2003, not CAN-SPAM, and the difference is not a technicality: consent is required before you send, and for business-to-business email it can sometimes be inferred from a conspicuously published work address, but only if the message is relevant to that person’s role. Empiraa publishes a reference page on this, sourced to ACMA and to the Act itself. It is general information rather than legal advice, and it is written for the country you are sending into.

Support in your working day

Questions get answered in Australian hours by people in the same time zone, which matters most in the first fortnight when you are importing data and setting up pipelines. An overnight reply cycle turns a two-hour setup question into a two-day one.

Where we are, and what we do not claim

Empiraa is an Australian company headquartered in Melbourne, and also has a US office in Denver. On infrastructure, the honest answer is that Empiraa runs on Google Cloud with data processing in regions consistent with applicable data protection requirements, and you should ask us to confirm the specific regional settings for your account rather than assume. Empiraa does not hold SOC 2 certification. If either of those is a procurement requirement, raise it early rather than late.

Choosing

Questions worth asking any CRM vendor from here.

These are the ones that actually separate the options for an Australian buyer, whoever you end up choosing.

Before you commit

  1. Is the price in AUD, and does it include GST?

If it is quoted in US dollars, the line item moves with the exchange rate and may attract a foreign transaction fee. Ask for the AUD figure including GST, in writing.

  2. Is it per seat?

Per-seat pricing means the CRM gets more expensive precisely when the business is going well. Ask what the bill looks like at twice your current head count.

  3. What is still missing at that price?

Prospect data, sequences, a booking link and proposals are separate subscriptions with most CRMs. Price the whole stack, not the CRM.

  4. Where is the data, and what certifications are held?

Ask every vendor, including us. Get the answer about regions and certifications in writing rather than inferring it from a marketing page.

Questions

Common questions from Australian buyers.

What is the best CRM for an Australian business?

It depends on the size of the team and how much of the sales process you want in one place, and any page claiming a single answer is selling you something. Empiraa Signal is worth looking at if you want an Australian supplier, prices in AUD with GST included, unlimited users and the prospect data, sequences, booking link and proposals included rather than bought separately. If price is the only factor, Zoho CRM publishes Australian pricing and will be cheaper below about five people: its free edition covers up to three users, and Standard is A$22 per user per month on annual billing above that. Competitor prices read on 19 September 2026.

Does Empiraa Signal price in Australian dollars?

Yes, and the number does not change between currencies. Launch is $99 a month, Drive is $249 and Command is $549, each for the whole workspace with unlimited users. The same number in every currency. $99 is $99 AUD, $99 USD, $99 EUR and $99 GBP. Australian prices include GST, and because the figure is the same in every currency, a falling dollar does not reprice your subscription.

Is Empiraa an Australian company?

Yes. Empiraa is an Australian company headquartered in Melbourne, and it also has a US office in Denver. It is worth saying that being Australian is not by itself a reason to choose a CRM, and there are other Australian options: Smartlead, a cold email platform, trades as 521 Products Pty Ltd and describes itself as made in Sydney, and several overseas vendors including Zoho publish local pricing. The reasons to choose an Australian supplier are practical ones, such as support in your hours and pricing that does not float.

Is my data stored in Australia?

The honest answer is to ask us rather than assume. Empiraa runs on Google Cloud with data processing in regions consistent with applicable data protection requirements, and we will confirm the specific regional settings for your account. If Australian data residency is a hard procurement requirement, raise it in the first conversation rather than after a trial.

Does Empiraa hold SOC 2 certification?

No. Empiraa does not hold SOC 2, and no page on this site should be read as claiming it does. If a security certification is a procurement requirement for your organisation, that is a straightforward reason to choose a vendor that holds one, and it is better established now than during a security review.

Does the CRM help with Australian cold email rules?

Empiraa publishes a reference page on the Spam Act 2003, sourced to ACMA and the legislation, because most cold email advice online assumes American law that does not apply here. That page is general information rather than legal advice. In Signal itself, sequences are sent from your own inbox and domain, so your normal business identification travels with the message, and sequences stop automatically when somebody replies. The consent basis for your list and the unsubscribe mechanism in your emails remain your responsibility, and no software changes that.

How does Empiraa Signal compare with Australian pricing from overseas CRMs?

Zoho publishes Australian pricing and is the most direct comparison: Standard is A$22 per user per month on annual billing, so it is cheaper than Signal below about five people and dearer above it. Zoho’s own tax disclaimer was inconsistent on the day we checked, so confirm with them whether that figure includes GST; the crossover is the fifth person either way. HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Close all price in US dollars, and Attio publishes a bare dollar figure with no currency code against it. The other difference is scope. Where those CRMs offer prospect data at all it is a paid add-on or a higher tier rather than part of the plan: Pipedrive sells Prospector through its LeadBooster add-on, metered by credit. So a like-for-like comparison has to add a data line to their side of the ledger. Competitor prices and packaging read on 19 September 2026.

Can I try it before buying?

Yes, 14 days free with no credit card required to start. Import your companies, contacts and deals and run a real pipeline inside the trial, rather than evaluating a demo dataset. At the end the workspace pauses until you add a card, and nothing is deleted.
