Empiraa

Attio vs Empiraa Signal

Attio Pro is $99 a person.
Signal is $99 for all of them.

Attio is a well-built modern CRM with a genuinely generous free tier, and for a team that only needs a CRM it is a strong choice. The comparison gets interesting at the paid tier, where the same $99 buys one Attio seat or a whole Signal workspace, including the prospect database, sequences, scheduling and proposals that Attio leaves to other tools.

14-day free trial · No credit card · Unlimited users · No seat caps

Quick verdict

Choose Attio

A strong choice if you want a flexible, fast CRM with custom objects, and you are happy to add prospect data, scheduling and proposals separately.

Choose Empiraa Signal

A strong choice if you want the CRM and the five tools around it on one plan, at one price, however many people use it.

A very good CRM,
priced one person at a time.

Attio has earned its reputation. The object model is more flexible than Signal’s, the interface is quick, and the free tier gives three people fifty thousand records without a card. The question this page asks is narrower: once you are past the free tier and paying $99 a seat for sequences, what else do you still have to buy? A prospect database, a booking link and a proposal tool, on current evidence. Signal puts those in the same plan as the CRM, and charges for the workspace rather than the person.

Feature comparison

The first section is where Attio wins, and it is first on purpose. The free tier and the object model are real advantages, and a comparison that skipped them would not be worth your time.

Where Attio is genuinely betterRead this first · Attio is a well-built modern CRM and the free tier is real

Attio is not a weak product and the page would not be worth reading if it pretended otherwise. Its data model is more flexible than Signal’s and its free tier is unusually generous for a CRM.

AI COMPARISON

Attio’s AI researches records.
ANI works the pipeline.

Both include AI on the entry plan, and they point it at different jobs. Attio’s research agent fills in what you do not know about records already in the workspace. ANI looks at deals, activity and history and says what to do next. Attio meters its AI on seat and workspace credits; ANI credits are part of the plan.

Attio

Attio research agent

  • Researches and enriches records already in the workspace
  • AI-generated field values from the web
  • Metered by seat credits and workspace credits
  • Credits reset monthly and scale with the plan
  • No prospect database for it to search
Empiraa Signal

Which platform fits your sales team?

Attio

Attio may suit you if:

  • You want custom objects and a flexible data model
  • You track things other than sales deals in the same system
  • Three seats on the free tier covers you for now
  • You already pay for prospect data, scheduling and proposals and like them
  • Interface speed and design matter more to you than bundled features
Empiraa Signal

Empiraa Signal may suit you if:

  • You want the prospect database in the CRM, not beside it
  • You do not want sequences gated behind a $99 seat
  • You would rather add people without the price moving
  • You want a booking link and proposals without another subscription
  • Fixed sales objects are a feature, not a limitation, for how you work

The same price, a different unit.

1

$99 for the workspace, not the person

At one user the two are identical. At five, Attio Pro on monthly billing is $495 and Signal is still $99, with no seat caps at any tier.

2

2,000 prospects a month, included

Found against your ideal customer profile, in the same system as the pipeline, with no separate data subscription and no per-reveal credits.

3

Sequences, scheduling and proposals on every plan

Not gated behind the top tier, and not left to three more integrations you have to choose, buy and wire together.

FAQs

Is Empiraa Signal a good Attio alternative?

It depends on what you want the CRM to cover. Attio is a well-built, flexible CRM and if that is all you need, its free tier is hard to beat. Signal is the better fit if you also want a prospect database, enrichment, sequences, a booking link and proposals, because Signal includes those on every plan and Attio either does not have them or puts them on its $99 tier.

How much does Attio cost?

Read from attio.com/pricing on 19 September 2026: Free at $0 for up to 3 seats, Plus at $44 per user per month monthly or $35 annually for up to 10 seats, Pro at $99 per user per month monthly or $79 annually with unlimited seats, and Enterprise on custom annual pricing. Every paid plan is priced per user.

Attio Pro and Signal Launch are both $99. What is the difference?

Attio’s $99 is per user per month. Signal’s $99 is the whole workspace with unlimited users. At one person the two are the same price. At five people Attio Pro is $495 a month on monthly billing and Signal is still $99. Signal also includes the prospect database, enrichment, sequences, scheduling and proposals at that price, which Attio either does not have or leaves to integrations.

Does Attio have a prospect database?

Not one we could find. Attio’s AI research agent enriches records that are already in your workspace using its existing data and the web, which is a different job from searching for companies and people you have never heard of. For discovery, Attio lists third-party integrations such as Apollo. If finding new accounts is part of what you want from the CRM, that is the clearest structural difference between the two.

Does Attio include email sequences?

Yes, from the Pro plan at $99 per user per month. Below that, the Free plan syncs a mailbox with a monthly send cap and tags outbound mail as sent with Attio, and Plus does not list sequences. Signal includes sequences on every plan, sent from your own inbox and domain.

Does Attio have a booking link or proposals?

We could not find either as a native feature. Attio lists scheduling integrations for Cal.com and Calendly, and its own community has an open thread asking how to connect quote and proposal generation. Both are included on every Signal plan, and a meeting booked through Signal writes back to the deal rather than only to a calendar.

What does Attio do that Empiraa Signal does not?

Custom objects and a genuinely flexible data model, which is why people use Attio for recruiting, fundraising and partnership tracking as well as sales. Signal has fixed sales objects on purpose and does not try to be a general-purpose system of record. Attio also has a free tier, and Signal has a free trial instead.

Can I move my Attio data into Empiraa Signal?

Yes. Companies, contacts and deals import, so the pipeline moves. Custom objects you built in Attio will need rethinking rather than migrating, because Signal does not have an equivalent. Export from Attio as CSV and import during the free trial so you can see the gap with your own records in front of you.

Not sure this comparison is fair? Ask ANI. It will tell you when the other one is the better fit.

Attio plan names, prices, seat caps, free-tier limits and per-plan feature availability were read from attio.com/pricing and Attio’s help centre on 19 September 2026. Rows marked “not found” mean no native feature was found on Attio’s own site on that date, not that Attio states it does not exist. Prices and packaging change, so check theirs before deciding.
