Strategic alignment with Empiraa GPS

Every team and every site, working to the same plan.

Empiraa GPS keeps teams, sites and leaders aligned to one strategy. Strategic alignment means everyone knows the organisation’s priorities and how their own work serves them. In GPS, every priority has an owner, every person sees their own goals and actions, and leaders see where the plan is slipping.

Why alignment breaks

Most people can’t name the priorities they are meant to deliver.

Research by Sull, Homkes and Sull (Harvard Business Review, 2015) found that only 55% of middle managers surveyed could name even one of their company’s top five priorities.

What gets in the way

A plan few people see

The strategy lives in a slide deck the leadership team saw at the offsite.

Teams pulling different ways

Each team and site sets its own priorities, and nobody can see how they fit together.

Work with no line to a goal

People are busy, but it is hard to tell which work moves the plan.

How it works

One plan, visible from the boardroom to the front line.

Rollout

Live in weeks, with our team doing the heavy lifting.

Implementation and training are included in every plan, so your leaders spend their time on the strategy, not the software.

How a rollout runs

  1. Load the plan

Your strategy becomes goals, objectives and actions, each with an owner.

  2. Map teams, sites and owners

We build your Accountability Chart and connect the systems you already run.

  3. Set the rhythm

Check-ins and meetings for your leadership team, and training for your leaders.

  4. First report from GPS

Your next leadership or board report comes straight out of GPS.

Start with one leadership team.

Run a 30-day pilot with one leadership team, using your real plan, before you roll GPS out further. We agree the pilot terms with you in the demo.

Questions

Strategic alignment questions, answered.

What is strategic alignment?

Strategic alignment is the degree to which every team and person understands the organisation’s priorities and works towards them. An aligned organisation has clear owners, shared measures and work that ties back to the plan. Read the full definition.

How does GPS show who owns what?

Every goal has one accountable owner, and every objective and action has an owner. The Accountability Chart shows those owners by department, with open roles and overloaded leaders flagged.

Can each site or team have its own priorities?

Yes. Give each site or team its own objectives and owners under the company goals, and tag them to see a site’s objectives together. Sensitive goals can be kept private to the people who need them.

How do we know whether people are engaged with the plan?

Check-ins show completion and a team pulse score, and the engagement and alignment report brings together check-in completion, engagement goals and the ideas teams have raised. See board reporting.

Does everyone need a paid seat?

No. Every plan includes unlimited users, so you can bring in the whole organisation. See what every plan includes.

Can we try it first?

Yes. We run 30-day pilots with one leadership team, using your real plan. We agree the pilot terms with you in the demo. See how pricing and pilots work.
